Aleksandar Taralezhkov
Aleksandar Taralezhkov is a chef and multidisciplinary creative whose work bridges food, foraging, and narrative. With a foundation in product design and early roots in hospitality design, he brings a distinctive perspective to his culinary craft, merging aesthetics, sustainability, and deep, ingredient-led flavour.
He first gained attention with Dolma Bar, an experimental dining concept above Margate’s Tom Thumb Theatre, where he reinterpreted traditional Balkan dishes such as dolma and sarma through a seasonal contemporary lens. Aleksandar is known for his instinctive cooking style and strong connection to nature, his work often exploring the meeting point between memory, place, and heritage. Balkan flavours reimagined for tomorrow’s table.
As a judge on MasterChef Bulgaria, Aleksandar brings his unique culinary philosophy to a national audience, championing creative expression and regional identity. He has also held residencies at kitchens including Shoreditch House and hosted acclaimed pop-ups across London and the Southeast. Today, he continues to shape his evolving culinary voice through intimate dinners, cross-disciplinary collaborations, and immersive food experiences—always rooted in his Bulgarian heritage, yet ever-forward in approach.
